My state is easily slower to adopting changes than others in the nation.
Although our taxes are lower altogether, the people I was with and I have a lot of insane permitting rules surrounding land ownership here that make it challenging to have freedom.
I don’t want to build unsafe structures in our household, but I don’t want to recognize as though the state government is preventing me from making basic remodeling upgrades either. That’s particularly tplot when I hire certified businesss who are following the rules by the book, but after that I have to wait for a long while when the county takes forever to get back to me. At 1 point I lost a critical appointment for a roof upgradement plus had to scramble to find a up-to-date business when my permit was approved by the local government. On top of that, the bunch of us fumbled the option to have a legal cannabis market multiple times when it was initially voted on at the ballot box. When the people I was with and I last garnered enough votes to legalize medical marijuana with an amendment to our state’s constitution, I was relieved plus shocked. I could not overstate my joy, but I also couldn’t stop wondering what would have happened if the people I was with and I absolutely weren’t so lucky. There are multiple states bordering mine that still can’t get some form of medical marijuana law to stick, regardless of how they’ve made their attempts in time. Once the people I was with and I finally had medical marijuana legal in this state, it took various years before the people I was with and I had anything other than capsules plus oil. First the group of us had the option to try cannabis vaporizer cartridges, as these are popular in a number of bizarre states. Sadly, it took multiple years before the people I was with and I could legally purchase cannabis flower products.
