Sometimes I ask my friend for help getting me through a tough or difficult process. My friend is several years older than me and has gone through a lot of difficult life experiences already. She has worked in a number of different industries in states all over the country. For instance, she once traveled the country as a truck driver going through all 48 of the lower 48 states. As somewhat of a non-traditional family situation in the 1980s, her husband stayed at home and raised the kids while she was on the road. But after a few years of desperately missing the time she missed away from her kids, she switched careers and became a fitness coach until the demand died down in her area. Now she works as the clerk for one of our city’s most popular medical marijuana physicians. She writes a lot of the recommendations for medical cannabis by inputting the data from the doctor directly into the state registry on the computer. I thought it would be difficult for me to get a medical marijuana card, but she walked me through the process, step by step. It was surprisingly easy for me to make an appointment at her place of employment to get the ball rolling. But right after I was approved by the physician, my state application was approved within the following hour. I was shopping at a medical cannabis dispensary the same evening after going to the medical marijuana doctor earlier in the day. Getting a medical marijuana card was surprisingly easy and straightforward, even for someone like me.
