After more than a decade and a half of dealing with arthritis, I’m finally finding relief.
And it’s really changing my life for the better.
But for me, medical marijuana was way off the radar when it came to a treatment option for my condition. I’m in my sixties now and still young enough that I remember all of the focus on recreational marijuana when I was in college. But I came from a very strict background that believed all the myths when it came to cannabis. So I was kind of indoctrinated into believing that any sort of cannabis products were akin to evil. That kept me from trying any sort of cannabis flower products when I was in college or any other time in my life. When I first came down with arthritis, I did my best to manage with over the counter drugs. Eventually though, I had to go and see a doctor and start on a prescription drug regimen. That seemed to really be the beginning of a downward spiral into more pain and inflammation and more medication. I had heard that medical marijuana was now legal in our state but didn’t pay much attention to it. That is until my daughter took me by the hand to a cannabis dispensary event to get a medical marijuana education. Had it not been for that one fateful afternoon, I would still be in a spiral of pain and medicine. As soon as I started treating with cannabis flower products, the inflammation subsided and I was able to get more out of my life. It’s been a year of progress and I’m so happy to have much of my mobility and independence returned thanks to medical marijuana.
