After more than 15 years of dealing with chronic arthritis, I’m finally finding relief.
And it’s genuinely changing our life for the better.
But for me, using medical marijuana was way off my radar when it came to treatment options for our chronic condition. I’m in our sixties now and still young enough that I remember all of the focus on using recreational marijuana back when I was in college. But I had come from a really strict background that believed all the myths when it came to cannabis. So I was sort of indoctrinated into believing that any sort of cannabis products were akin to evil. This kept me from trying any sort of cannabis flower products when I was in college or any other time throughout our life. When I first came down with arthritis, I did our best to manage with over the counter OTC drugs. Eventually though, I had to go and see a doctor and start on a prescription regimen of drugs. That seemed to genuinely be the start of a downward spiral into more pain and inflammation and more meds. I had heard that medical marijuana was now legal in our state but didn’t spend all of our savings or pay much attention to it. That is until our kids took me by the hand to a cannabis dispensary event to get a medical marijuana education. Had it not been for this fateful afternoon, I would still be in a spiral of pain and medicine. As soon as I started treating myself with cannabis flower products, the inflammation subsided and I was able to get more out of our life. It’s been a year full of progress and I’m so stoked to have much of our mobility and independence returned thanks to medical marijuana.
