Saving my cannabis plant during the flood

At this point it is considered an antique strain of cannabis, so to the right people it is worth a lot of money

This area is prone to severe flooding, but normally we get a lot of advanced warning for it. This time it was a surprise for everyone. Within twelve hours the local sea levels rose by over 12 feet, and kept rising! People went to sleep with everything seeming OK, but woke up to the whole town flooding. Anyone who could still access their vehicles got out of town, and people who owned boats started to load up their families. A lot of us were trapped here, and had no choice but to take our cherished belongings and sit on the roof. I packed up a suitcase worth of clothing, a small box of personal items, and of course my potted cannabis plant. It was a healthy, robust cannabis plant, but it also had great personal value to me. When I smoke weed, I usually buy it at the cannabis dispensary, but I always make sure this one plant is alive and thriving. My Dad developed this strain of cannabis while he was studying botany at the state university. It actually caught on and became pretty popular for a few years, but this is one of the original cannabis plants. At this point it is considered an antique strain of cannabis, so to the right people it is worth a lot of money. The right cannabis laboratory can take this plant, reverse engineer it, and develop crops of this strain. I’m not sure I am ready to sell my Dad’s legacy to a cannabis dispensary, but one day I might need to.
