There was an odd and strange woman walking around the cannabis shop on Monday morning.
I asked the woman if she needed help with something, but she said no. She browsed every single item and took her time. After 15 or 20 minutes, I asked the customer if there was anything at all that I could help her find. Again, she said no one this time she looked aggravated that I asked again. I was simply trying to be helpful. I told the manager about the woman in the store, because I thought it was very bizarre that she had been there for so long and did not want help finding anything. The manager went out into the lobby to talk with the woman and she came back to the front after a few minutes. She told me not to be concerned with the person that was shopping, because she was there as a mystery shopper auditing the cannabis shop. I didn’t even know that we had mystery shoppers to audit the shop and I was very surprised. I found out that the owner of the marijuana dispensary was having an auditor shop every single one of the local locations to see if there were things that he could do differently. I was happy that the manager gave me the information. The whole time I was watching the woman waiting for her to steal something and start running out the door. I had a whole scenario in my mind of the security guard chasing her down in the parking lot, but she wasn’t even there to steal.
