When I was a teenager, I tried marijuana a couple of times.
I smoked a little bit of pot in college too, but I haven’t tried it since I was 20 years old. I met my wife and we had kids and I never thought about it again until recently. I have been seeing a mental health professional for a while. My wife said I’m going through a midlife crisis, but I think I just have general depression. I’ve been fighting depression most of my life and I take a pill everyday to help fight the symptoms. The doctor told me that marijuana might be able to help and even suggested that I apply for a medical card. There was absolutely no way that my boss was going to allow me to use medical marijuana, so I told the doctor that was not going to work for me. When I went to the West Coast with some of my coworkers, we were really close to a medical and recreational marijuana dispensary. I decided to visit the marijuana shop one night after everyone went to sleep. The marijuana shop had a huge selection and I ended up buying some fruit flavored gummy edibles. The fruit flavored edibles had 10 mg of THC in each one. I took a half of an edible in the morning before I went to my first meeting and I felt more relaxed than I have in a really long time.
