I started laboring at a cannabis dispensary, because I figured it would be a fun & thrilling task.
- My neighbor Carol was working at the pot shop & she informed me that they were looking for a new lady to do work at the counter as a budtender… It seemed pretty fun & I was excited about the perks like 35% off all merchandise including wax, concentrate, distillate, & marijuana buds.
They also provided paid days off, & a profit sharing program after so many years. With all those perks, it was pretty challenging to say no. One of my number one parts of the task is trying new cannabis products. When the store receives new cannabis products from the manufacturers, there are often samples for the budtenders to try. This past week, 1 of the live resin concentrate manufacturers sent a ton of samples. I didn’t have to pay for any live resin concentrate at all that week, because I acquired several grams for no charge. We acquired more cannabis products from the same manufacturer the other weekend. I expected them to be the same nice quality, however they were severely disappointing. The new cannabis products are not so wonderful. They do not have the same flavor & they have a crazy color & consistency. If I was paying $50 a gram for cannabis concentrate & I opened 1 of these jars, I would be incredibly worried & likely take the product straight back to the dispensary. The last batch of products were absolutely a hit, however these samples truly missed the mark. I honestly hope they make a few fluctuations before they introduce these items to the public.
