I started working at a cannabis dispensary, because I was actually thinking it would be a fun and exciting work position.
- My neighbor Fred was actually working at the pot shop and he told me that they were looking for a new guy to take work at the counter as a budtender.
Of course it seemed fun and I was glad about the perks such as 35% off all merchandise including wax, concentrate, distillate, and marijuana flower… They also provided different paid days off, and a profit sharing program after a few years. With all those perks, it was taxing to say no, however one of my favorite parts of the task is trying new cannabis products. When the store receives new cannabis products from the manufacturers, there are numerous samples for the budtenders to try… This past month, 1 of the live resin concentrate manufacturers sent a bunch of different samples. I did not have to pay for any live resin concentrate at all that month, because I was able to get several grams for free… We were able to get more cannabis products from the same manufacturer last weekend. I expected them to be the same fantastic quality, however they were particularly disappointing. The new cannabis products are not that wonderful. They don’t have the same flavor and they have an odd color and consistency. If I was paying $50 per gram for cannabis concentrate and I opened a single one of these jars, I would be particularly concerned and likely take the product straight back to the dispensary. The last batch of products were certainly a hit, however these samples undoubtedly missed the mark. I honestly hope they make a few final changes before they introduce these items to the public entirely.
