The customer kept getting louder and louder

Tuesday was a slow day at the cannabis dispensary, but we had a couple of problems.

Sometime during the afternoon, a customer walked through the door.

The guy was upset about a purchase he made a few days previously. He told the manager of the cannabis dispensary that the concentrate product he purchased was awful. The manager asked if the customer had the rest of the one gram jar. The customer didn’t have any product, but he was requesting a full refund for the $35 cannabis product. The manager tried to tell the customer that we don’t offer refunds unless they have the product in hand. The guy became even more upset and agitated. His voice kept getting louder and louder. At one point he was basically screaming at the manager. When the manager had enough, she motioned for the security guard to step in and help with the problem. When the security officer entered the situation, the customer changed his entire attitude. He went from upset and agitated to angry and violent. He tried to punch the security officer and he pushed the manager to the ground. The security officer tackled the customer and held him on the ground until the local police could arrive. The manager didn’t want to press charges, but the police urged her to file a report. The perpetrator had a record and could have gone back to jail. My boss took pity on the guy, but banned him from the dispensary indefinitely. He won’t ever be allowed back in the store after that outburst.
