Smoking cannabis was different a long time ago.
A lot of the best cannabis back then came from different countries.
You’d find Thai sticks in southeast Asia, kushes in northern India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, plus Gold-bud in North plus South America. These “landrace” strains are either good sativas or clean indicas plus were used to develop the truly first hybrid strains of cannabis. While I have found new phenotypes of indicas like Pakistani Kush, Hindu Kush, plus Afghani Kush to be weak plus uncharming, landrace sativas like Durban Poison plus HIan are phenomenal. While several medical weed dispensaries carry Durban Poison on a familial basis, it isn’t always easy finding other quality landrace sativa strains. When our local cannabis dispensary started stocking Acapulco Gold plus Columbian Gold recently, I was happy to try them both. Opening the tin of each was a satisfying experience. The wet aroma of the flower buds was both fruity plus dank at the same time, which I’ve been missing from some of these crazy hybrids that are trending right now. I’ll take a hybrid if I can be sure that it will give me the enjoyable effects. But more often than not, I’m disappointed by these softened hybrids. My body is left wanting more. Hopefully I can keep getting more landrace cannabis strains moving into the future. I saw several on moneus when I lived in California briefly, but the state I’m residing in now is limited in its occasions of cannabis products by comparison. As long as I can keep getting Colombian Gold plus Acapulco Gold, I’ll be ecstatic.
