I suffered with PTSD for 25 years before I decided to get help.
When I finally talked to a therapist about my problems, she immediately suggested using medical marijuana.
I wasn’t very familiar with marijuana as a medical treatment at that time, so I was very hesitant to agree. The doctor gave me some pamphlets and research websites so I could find more information. I was truly amazed by all of the information available online. All of the medical journals agreed that marijuana has many medicinal benefits. When I read the studies about treatment for PTSD, I was ready to try medical marijuana. The doctor started me off with a very low dose prescription. I went to a medical marijuana dispensary to fill the prescription. I talked to a very nice and knowledgeable person that helped me choose the right medical marijuana products for my PTSD. I have a couple of different items that I really like to use. I prefer a marijuana concentrate product like wax, shatter, or live resin. It takes a very small amount to feel the results and that makes it very inexpensive. Medical marijuana flower that is smokable makes me cough, but concentrate like live resin and shatter is much easier on the throat and lungs. It’s been several years since I started using marijuana to treat PTSD symptoms. It’s now recreationally legal in the state where I live and that means the prices are lower than most places around the country. I still get great quality cannabis products at a fraction of the cost I was paying eight years ago.
